Martin, Rachel, Robbie and Cameron came to Stafford in the summer of 2012. Toby, the dog, has joined them since then. Martin had spent 30 years in the heavy engineering industry, and for much of this time he was involved with power station boilers, particularly for the overseas market. Martin and Rachel were married in 2000 and Rachel’s busy life has several sides to it, one of which is her career as a Children’s Occupational Therapist.
As well as being Vicar of St Thomas and St Andrew’s, Doxey, Martin is shared with St Paul’s Church, Stafford. He trained for the Ministry at St John’s College, Nottingham, and spent the next 3 years serving as a Curate in three small, but very different, parishes on the outskirts of that city. Martin says that he seeks to encourage each of us “to grow in faith, to worship God and to work together to bring God’s love into the communities around us.” His contact details are given above and he invites people to use them.
